Testing was conducted on a reference platform (MT8195 + Ubuntu 24.04, kernel 6.8.0).

Force the installation. In Device Manager, right-click the device > Properties > Driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick . Uncheck "Show compatible hardware". Then scroll to MediaTek Inc. and select MediaTek USB VCOM Port from the list.
