ProShow Producer is still the best tool for photo-heavy slideshows (weddings, memorials, real estate). If you work primarily with video clips (MP4s from iPhones/Androids), you will hate it. For video, use DaVinci Resolve.

If you have existing .pshow show files, custom transitions, and a valid offline license, it is worth the 30 minutes of setup tweaks. Many wedding photographers still run ProShow Producer on Windows 11 for their client proof slideshows.
