The season's climax begins with the long-awaited capture and death of Abu Nazir in the penultimate episode, "". Carrie's relentless pursuit leads her back to an abandoned mill, where a tense, claustrophobic confrontation ends with the terrorist leader being killed by a SWAT team.

Brody is taken to a secure location by the CIA, and Carrie pushes him to record a confession. Meanwhile, the CIA closes in on a key terrorist target. The episode ends with a major explosion at a memorial service.
